The Presidents of the Employment Tribunals (England & Wales and Scotland) have issued an addendum to the Joint Presidential Steerage on employment tribunal awards, updating the Vento bands for damages for harm to emotions and psychiatric harm in discrimination claims.
The brand new figures will apply for claims issued on or after 6 April 2025.
- The decrease band (for much less severe instances): GBP 1,200 to GBP 12,100.
- Center band (for these instances which don’t advantage a better award): GBP 12,100 to GBP 36,400.
- The higher band (essentially the most severe instances): GBP 36,400 to GBP 60,700.
- An award of over GBP 60,700 should still be awarded in essentially the most distinctive instances.
