Each year, the NYU Law Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (“PCCE”) accepts a group of outstanding law students as Fellows. PCCE Student Fellows gain unparalleled expertise in the areas of corporate compliance and enforcement through exposure to our invitation-only conferences, panels, and policy speeches, access to our distinguished Senior Fellows and members of our Board of Advisors through a series of lunch-and-learn events and by attending PCCE events.  Student Fellows volunteer at PCCE events and also contribute to white papers, serve as an editors of our blog, and perform work as a research assistant and publish scholarship relating to corporate compliance and enforcement. PCCE Student Fellowship positions are open to rising 2L, 3L, and LLM students at NYU Law with a demonstrated interest in corporate compliance or enforcement. Applications for an academic year generally are accepted on a rolling basis until a few months before the start of the fall semester. We are delighted to welcome our outstanding Student Fellows for the 2027-2028 academic year!

Daniel is a JD Candidate at New York University School of Law interested in cross-border transactions, corporate governance and compliance, sovereign matters, and the legal implications of AI, particularly in Latin America. Prior to law school, he worked at a nonprofit organization where his work included Title VI matters involving higher education institutions. This past summer, he was a summer associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he worked on cross-border, capital markets, sovereign debt, and international arbitration matters. He is particularly interested in corporate governance and compliance in Latin America, work he hopes to pursue when he returns to Cleary as an associate.

Sofia is a JD Candidate at New York University School of Law interested in corporate governance, compliance, investigations and organizational risk management. Prior to law school she worked in EY’s General Counsel’s office, where she supported complex investigative and regulatory matters. She will be joining Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP after graduation as a White-Collar Defense & Investigations associate.

Ana Sofía Flores Gómez is an LLM candidate at New York University School of Law with experience across corporate compliance in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. Her background includes investment compliance at one of the world’s largest alternative asset managers, financial crime compliance and sanctions at a leading Nordic financial institution, and market conduct surveillance supporting the Institutional Securities division of a leading global investment bank. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from Tecnológico de Monterrey with a concentration in International Commercial Law. As a PCCE Student Fellow, she is excited to deepen her understanding of effective compliance programs, contribute to discussions on emerging challenges in the field, and further develop a career dedicated to strengthening ethics, governance, and regulatory compliance in global organizations.

Born and raised in New York City, Brandon is currently a 3L at NYU School of Law where he pursues his interests in corporate compliance, shareholder activism, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to law school, he served as a Compliance Associate at Sculptor Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund with over $37 billion in AUM. It was at Sculptor where he was first introduced to corporate compliance and has been learning more ever since. While at NYU, Brandon has served as a Staff Editor of the NYU Tax Law Review in addition to serving on the leadership boards of various student organizations. He has been a PCCE Student Fellow since his first month at NYU.

Rong Huang is an LL.M. candidate at New York University School of Law, focusing on cross-border regulatory enforcement and corporate governance. With nearly a decade of experience as a foreign legal director for a major telecommunications multinational, she brings deep expertise in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and federal oversight. In this high-stakes environment, she routinely interfaced with court-appointed monitor and the BIS-assigned Special Compliance Coordinator while managing compliance risks, leading internal investigations, and coordinating criminal defense strategies. Her long-term goal is to guide international enterprises in operating legally and sustainably across jurisdictions. As a PCCE Student Fellow, she looks forward to engaging with PCCE’s vibrant network to deepen her analysis of academic and policy-side U.S. enforcement.

Originally from New Jersey, Soobean is a 3L at NYU School of Law. Before law school, she worked as a paralegal at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and as a policy specialist on Google’s Legal Investigations team. She has spent the past two summers as a summer associate in Sidley Austin’s New York office. At NYU Law, Soobean serves as a teaching assistant for Lawyering, Managing Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law, a research assistant at the Center for Law and Public Trust, and a student fellow with the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2024 with a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Political Science, where she completed the investment banking track. Nina spent her 1L summer as a Legal & Compliance Intern at The Carlyle Group and her 2L summer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she plans to begin her career in the corporate group following graduation. Her interests include corporate compliance, investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder activism. At NYU, Nina is deeply involved in the law school community and among her various leadership roles, she has served as a Staff Editor of the NYU Tax Law Review, Co-President of the Law and Business Association (LBA), and Co-President of the JD/MBA Association.

Aarushi Prasad graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi in 2025, where she gained a front-row seat to the compliance challenges faced by American satellite campuses operating transnationally. Witnessing multinational corporations reconciling dual legal systems in the Middle East, cultivated within her the sensitivity to regulatory nuance and institutional governance that she now seeks to deepen as a PCCE fellow. Her professional pursuits have taken to the halls of Congress, where she analyzed the legal implications of Chevron deference on labor regulation and assisted in the amending and the reintroduction of the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. In the summer of her sophomore year, Aarushi also conducted ethnographic field research on migrant laborers in the United Arab Emirates, which offered her a distinctive lens to analyze the role of corporations in minimum wage enforcement and migrant worker protections in a cross-border setting. Aarushi is currently a 2L at the law school and worked at Paul, Weiss during the summer of her 1L year.

Rahi Shah is a second-year J.D. candidate at NYU School of Law with interests in corporate compliance, privacy, and civil liberties. Academically, Will is particularly interested in criminal and civil enforcement actions against corporations.

Anna Sixsmith is a third-year J.D. Candidate. She graduated from McGill University with a B.A., minored in Economics, focusing on illegal economic activity, rackets, and money laundering. She spent her 1L summer conducting research with Professor Arthur R. Miller on issues in Civil Procedure, and her 2L summer working on white-collar matters at Davis, Polk and Wardwell, where she plans to return full time after graduation. Anna is an online editor of the New York University Law Review and a fellow with the Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center. She is most interested in money laundering and FCPA violations.

Theo is a fully-qualified lawyer from Germany and LL.M. candidate at NYU School of Law, specializing in Corporation Law. He studied at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Ludwigs Maximilians Universität München, graduating in 2023 in the top 5% of this cohort. During his studies, Theo interned at local boutique criminal defense firms and observed the court trial in a case connected to the Volkswagen emissions scandal (“Dieselgate”) on behalf of a German law firm for 1.5 years. During his legal clerkship, Theo worked at the District Court Traunstein, at Linklaters LLP in Munich and at A&O Shearman in Boston. Before starting his LL.M., Theo worked at A&O Shearman in Corporate/M&A in Munich. He is particularly interested in empirical legal research and enforcement.

Douglas Sun is a 3L at NYU School of Law. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Political Science, with an emphasis in Law and Human Rights.
